A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

A Message

from Founder / President

Welcome to the Friends of President’s College Association

Founded in 2015, the Friends of President’s College Association serves as a dedicated support organisation for President’s College Kotte (PCK). Our website serves as a vital communication hub, connecting the global PCK community and providing updates on activities, social events, and the transparent utilization of funds for school development.

As we commemorate President’s College Kotte remarkable 46-year journey of academic excellence, we are planning several special initiatives and celebrations throughout the year. Over these decades, our esteemed institution has shaped countless distinguished individuals who have achieved remarkable success worldwide, and this legacy continues to grow stronger with each passing year.

We take immense pride in our alumni network, whose unwavering support and commitment to their alma mater exemplify the true spirit of President’s College Kotte. Our shared purpose unites us in our mission to impact, inspire, and enhance the educational experience of President’s College Kotte students across all grades, fostering their pursuit of excellence.

Our Vision for President’s College Kotte (PCK’s) 50th Anniversary

As President, I, along with my committee, have established ambitious goals to achieve by 2028, coinciding with President’s College Kotte golden jubilee:

  1. Transform PCK into Sri Lanka’s premier eco-friendly educational institution by:
    • Installing comprehensive solar power systems
    • Implementing water recycling infrastructure
    • Establishing effective waste management and recycling programs
  2. Elevate our academic curriculum to meet international standards, ensuring our students receive a world-class education.
  3. Develop state-of-the-art sporting facilities and school grounds, making them accessible to all students and positioning President’s College Kotte as a leader in sports education in Colombo.
  4. President’s College Kotte was originally established as a co-educational institution, accommodating both male and female students. We propose reinstating this original mixed-gender structure for the future of our school. Returning to our historical roots as a co-educational institution would honor the founding vision while providing comprehensive educational opportunities for all students in our community.

My committee and I remain steadfast in our commitment to transparent financial management, ensuring that all funds raised through our initiatives directly benefit the school and its students.

Warm regards,

Chanaka Jayatillake
